Everyone who is overweight wants to lose weight even if they tell you they are “fat and happy”. Some people may say they don’t want to lose weight or they are unable to lose weight. Perhaps these people are rebellious, afraid of failure or want to avoid the difficult task of trying to lose weight.

Most overweight individuals have already tried a number of diets and or weight lose products which have failed to help them lose weight. Worse yet, they have been successful in losing their excess weight but then gained back what they lost and perhaps even more.

Many overweight people have a considerable amount of knowledge about how to lose weight. They complain that they tell themselves time and again to not eat certain foods, to eat smaller portions, to stop eating when they are full, to not eat after 7 PM, to exercise more and exercise more intensely. But they admit, on the conscious level, they really have no control over themselves.

Unfortunately, most overweight people don’t take their own good advice. Something seems to keep them from doing what they know will help them lose weight.

It may be that attitudes about food get in the way of losing weight. The brain has become accustom to giving in to cravings for foods and indulging in over eating. Individuals need to become motivated and responsible in gaining control over their weight.

The use of pills, supplements and/or fad diets is not the way to change ones attitude about food and change eating behaviors.
