<p>Most overweight individuals have already tried a number of diets and  or weight lose products which have failed to help them lose weight. Worse yet, they have been successful  in losing  their excess weight but then gained back what they lost and perhaps even more.</p>
<p>Many overweight people have a considerable amount of knowledge about how to lose weight. They complain that they tell themselves time and again to not eat certain foods, to eat smaller portions, to stop eating when they are full, to not eat after 7 PM,  to exercise more and exercise more intensely. But they admit, on the conscious level, they really have no control over themselves.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, most overweight people don&#8217;t take their own good advice. Something seems to keep them from doing what they know will help them lose weight. </p>
<p>It may be that attitudes about food get in the way of losing weight. The brain has become accustom to giving in to cravings for foods and indulging in over eating. Individuals need to become motivated and responsible in gaining control over their weight.</p>

<p>Yes, the only way to lose weight is to burn more then you eat but there is one tiny, little detail that the guru&#8217;s who are trying to sell you something and the companies who make the plan and all of the hundreds of thousands  of other people trying to get you to buy something is, YOU  JUST CAN&#8217;T REDUCE YOUR CALORIES and expect to lose weight.</p>
<p>This is so easy to understand but never mentioned by the low calorie weight loss people because if they did, you wouldn&#8217;t buy anything from them.</p>
<p>Your body is really really smart. I&#8217;m talking genius level here. Not just bright, I mean join Mensa smart. It has to be because most of us are so stupid, we would just die if we had to do what the body does all by itself.</p>
<p>So you know your body is a genius all by itself, right, right.</p>
<p>So what do you think your body does when you reduce calories? Do you think it says, Ok, we have less to eat. That&#8217;s fine.  We will continue burning the same amount of calories as usual. Our bodies are too smart for this.</p>
<p>They know something is up. In fact, when you reduce your calories, alarm bells go off. You can&#8217;t hear them but they are there. Once your body notices the reduced calories, boom, your metabolism is immediately slowed  too.</p>
<p>When you think about it, that is really cool. Our bodies are protecting us from starvation. But what if you are trying to lose weight? It&#8217;s not so cool is it?</p>
<p>Now then all of the guru&#8217;s and the companies and the people selling stuff tell you to exercise and you will burn more calories to go along with their low calorie diet. Again, they are leaving out that one tiny little piece of information because if they told you, you wouldn&#8217;t buy their stuff. </p>
<p>Yes, exercise can burn more calories. But remember, your body is a genius. Do you think if you reduce your calories plus exercise you will really burn more calories. Like mentioned before, your body does not want to starve. When you exercise, the starvation prevention mode really kicks in and your smarty pants body crunches the numbers. </p>
<p>And it will only let you burn the amount of calories you consume. I don&#8217;t care if you run around the world, if you ate 1000 calories, that is all you are going to burn up.  If you are slim already, this is fine because you are able to stay the same. </p>
<p>If you are not slim and need to lose weight, you are screwed if you reduce your calories. Your body just starts burning less.</p>
<p>For some people who start a low calorie diet, they might lose a few pounds in the first few days, could even last a week or two before their body figures it out. They just are not that metabolically sensitive.</p>
<p>For most people, the body figures it out in about 2 days and then matches the amount of calories burned to the amount consumed.</p>
<p>The only way to get lose weight effectively is to confuse your body. And the only way to confuse your body is to calorie shift. This is kind of complicated and it&#8217;s best just to find a calorie shifting type diet but in a nutshell, you shift around what you eat and when you eat it. Our genius bodies get so confused they actually start burning calories like they never did before.</p>

What used to be as fundamental as food, clothing, shelter, love and knowledge is gradually becoming a little more sophisticated. Perhaps it goes with the times and the recognition of women&#8217;s capacity to wield a man&#8217;s task while still being able to do their roles as a mother, a wife, a lover, or a daughter. Such demands would pressure women to physically and mentally respond either negatively or positively. These overwhelming demands are the usual cause of stress in women.</p>
<p>Nonetheless, stress can either make you or break you. It all depends on how a woman perceives and interprets stressful conditions. For some women, additional workload is nothing but a challenge for them to perform better. Some women, on the other hand, are not quite susceptible to such abrupt changes. </p>
<p>Aside from that, the actual weight of the experience matters a lot if a woman would take the demand positively or negatively. Everyone has her own weak points and the moment these are tapped, stress and fatigue can easily found for itself a way to take its damaging toll on a woman.</p>
<p>Such stressful experiences are uncontrollable. What you can manage is how these circumstances are perceived so that they will not adversely affect your everyday lives. Stress can be productive if you let the causes of stress alert and motivate you to perform well. If you manage to take stress as a challenge, it will inspire you to improve yourself. How else will you learn if not for such trying situations that force you to do your best?</p>
<p>If you get to see stress as something inevitable especially to women who are flexible and versatile enough to multi-task, you might realize that sometimes, you have to be grateful that things like these come your way. Women are capable of doing almost anything humanly possible all at the same time. </p>
<p>If doing multiple activities at once won&#8217;t cause you any stress, then you probably are Wonder Woman. Moving to a new house, getting married, taking an entrance exam or going to a job interview, failing &#8211; all these spells &#8216;living your life, &#8211; and during these pressing times, there is no other way to go but up. Lurk down there and you will find yourself too strained to gather yourself back. And there comes the dangers of stress in women.</p>
<p>Long periods of stress would cause women to become irritable, irate, and too emotional to the point that they can no longer do their everyday tasks. Worse comes to worst, such negative stress would cause them physical illness and depression. </p>
<p>Sometimes, these lead to inappropriate coping behaviors such as drinking too much alcohol, overeating, chain smoking, taking illegal drugs or improper dosages of prescribed medications. Sometimes, negative coping behaviors happen within your body without your knowledge of it. </p>
<p>That is why whenever a friend is experiencing an ordeal, significant changes in terms of physique and health conditions begin to surface. Times like these are usually caused by sudden losses especially death of a loved one. Others that could also lead to negative stress are relationship problems, finances, physical, verbal, or sexual abuse, etc. To cope with such kind of stress, women need whatever support they can get from family, friends and their significant other. Some cases might even need the professional help of a therapist and this has to be given a great consideration. Negligence of such would lead to further depression and illness, or worse, diseases such as cancer and cardiac arrest.</p>

<p>Often people are worried about being put into a hypnotic state. They may worry about being left in a hypnotic state if the hypnotist may leave for some reason. However, people do not remain in a hypnotic trance for extended periods of time. With or without the help of a hypnotist, individuals gradually, or suddenly wake up to a conscious state. One does not need to worry about this.</p>
<p>There are negative behaviors that we do that we wish we did not do. Like  wise there are positive behaviors we do not do that we wish we did do. Our desires to do or not do a particular behavior or group of behaviors  is made at a conscious thought level. Many of our behaviors are created and motivated at a subconscious level. The subconscious level is significantly more alert in the hypnotic trance than in a conscious state. To have success during your hypnosis, one must be willing to be lead to their subconscious level.</p>
<p>To understand hypnosis it is helpful to recognize 4 different levels of brain activity. When an individual is completely conscious they are at a Beta level. Two more relaxed states are used in hypnosis and they are called Theta and Alpha levels. Finally when an individual is in a deep sleep, a state of unconsciousness, it is called the Delta level of brain activity.</p>
<p>Alpha brain activity can be described as day dreaming and Theta activity occurs in a dream state.<br />
The subconscious mind operates most effectively in Alpha and Theta states of brain activity. </p>
<p>The subconscious mind recognizes behavior patterns as they are repeated. As behavior patterns are repeated the subconscious mind stores and reinforces those behaviors. It is important to note that the subconscious mind does not distinguish habits as good or bad. </p>
<p>Repeating positive behaviors consistently and constantly is an easy way for your subconscious mind to reinforce this positive behavior. Doing so intermittently will not be reinforced and will continue to hinder any positive changes you are trying to make.</p>

The reality is, scientist have been able to link ADD with certain malfunctioning neurological responses that are lacking in individuals who do not have this disorder.</p>
<p>Also called attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) this condition affects a small population of children (roughly 8-10 percent) and a number of adults who may have missed being diagnosed when they were young.</p>
<p>Top symptoms of ADD/ADHD that can be found in both child and adult sufferers and often include:<br />
-	Trouble focusing<br />
-	Hyperactivity and inability to sit still<br />
-	Impaired social interaction<br />
-	Irresponsible behaviors<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Most people take breathing through their nose for granted. But for many chronic mouth breathers, breathing through the nose is a struggle, if not impossible. Not only is their quality of life diminished, but they&#8217;ll also have a variety of other health-related conditions such as dry mouth, snoring, fatigue, and poor sleep. In this article, I&#8217;ll talk about 7 ways that you can breathe better through your nose naturally. </p>
<p>Before I discuss the various ways to breathe better, a short anatomy course in in order. The nasal septum is a thin piece of cartilage and bone that splits your nasal cavity right down the middle. No one has a perfectly straight septum; everyone&#8217;s septum is slightly curved. Sometimes, nasal trauma can shift or move the septum away from its&#8217; midline position. The nasal turbinates are wing-like structures that line the sidewalls of your nose. It&#8217;s covered with a mucous membrane, and normally it helps to smooth, warm and humidify air. The turbinates and sinuses also produce about 2 pints of mucous every day. The turbinates swell and shrink, alternating from side to side every few hours. This is called the nasal cycle. </p>
<p>The front side walls make up your nostrils, which are soft cartilages covered on the inside and outside with skin. The back of your nose is one big cavity (called the nasopharynx), and the passageway turns down 90 degrees into the back of your throat. The nasopharynx is also where your ears connect via the Eustachian tubes. </p>
<p>If any part of the anatomy that I described becomes obstructed partially or completely, you&#8217;ll feel stuffy in your nose. Usually it&#8217;s not one thing, but usually due to a combination of different reasons. For example, if you have a mildly deviated septum, suffering from mild allergies will swell up your nasal turbinates, narrowing you nasal passageways. This may not be enough to clog up your nose, but if you have flimsy nostrils or had rhinoplasty in the past that weakened the nostrils, then breathing in with a stuffy nose may trigger your nostrils to collapse. </p>
<p>Starting from the tip of your nose, the first thing you must do is to find out if you have flimsy nostrils. If you have a very narrow nose, or if your nostril openings are very narrow and slit-like, then you may be prone to having flimsy nostrils. Try this experiment: Take both index fingers and press them just besides your nostrils on your cheek. While firmly pressing on your cheeks, lift the cheek skin upwards and sideways, pointing towards the outer corners of your eyes. Take a deep breath in. Can you breathe much better through your nose? Let go and try it again. If this maneuver works for you, you may benefit from using nasal dilator strips at night (one brand is called Breathe-Rite). Sometimes, the adhesives on these devices are not strong enough, or end up irritating the skin. Another way of treating this condition are various internal dilators (such as Nozovent, Breathewitheez, Nasal cones) that you can find over the counter or over the internet. </p>
<p>Second, try using nasal saline sprays. You can use the simple spray bottles that put out a fine mist, to more sophisticated methods such as aerosol cans or even using a Water-pik machine (there&#8217;s a nasal adaptor that you can buy for this). Another popular variation is something called a Nedi-pot, which uses gravity to pour salt water into your nose and sinuses. You can either use prepared saline packages, or mix your own recipe (one cup of lukewarm water and 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt or Kosher salt with a pinch of baking soda). Whatever method you use, you&#8217;ll have to do it frequently to get maximum results. Besides cleansing out mucous, pollutants and allergens, saline also acts as a mild decongestant. </p>
<p>Third, try not to eat anything within three hours of going to bed. If you still have food or juices lingering in your stomach when you go to bed, it can leak up passively into your throat and not only prevent a good night&#8217;s sleep, but these same juices can also leak up into your nose, causing swelling and inflammation. In addition, many people will also stop breathing once in a while, which creates a vacuum effect in the throat which actively suctions up your stomach juices into your throat and nose. </p>
<p>Fourth, try to avoid drinking alcohol close to bedtime. Not only does alcohol irritate the stomach, it also relaxes your throat muscles as you sleep, which aggravates the process described in the previous paragraph. </p>
<p>Fifth, if you have any known allergies, especially if it&#8217;s something in your bedroom, try to either remove it or or lessen your exposure to it. For example, many people are allergic to dust or molds, and if you have carpeting, or an area rug, it can harbor these allergens. Frequently washing your bed sheets in very hot water also helps. Investing in a quality HEPA filter should help even more. If you have any pets, consider keeping them out of your bedroom. If conservative measure to control allergies is not good enough, consider seeing an allergist for a more formal evaluation. </p>
<p>Sixth, get regular exercise, especially outdoors. Not only are you exercising your heart and your muscles, you&#8217;re also exercising the nervous system in your nose. Vigorous physical activity activates your sympathetic nervous system, which constricts the blood vessels that supply your nasal turbinates. This allows you to breathe better through your nose, with all the added benefits described in my previous article. </p>
<p>Lastly, slow down and relax. Modern society has removed all the natural built-in breaks throughout the day. Along with all the information overload and constant stimulation, going nonstop all day only adds to the increased stress levels that everyone experiences. In between major activities, take a minute or so to stop what you&#8217;re doing and stretch, get up and move around, and do some deep-breathing exercises. Stress can tense up the muscles, causing you to breathe shallower, which causes physiologic changes that can ultimately aggravate nasal congestion. </p>
<p>These simple 7 steps won&#8217;t help everyone, but If you can go down the list and apply all the steps, many if not most of you should feel some improvement in your ability to breathe through your nose. If you&#8217;ve tried all these steps and still can&#8217;t breathe through your nose, then seek medial help. An otolaryngologist (an ear, nose and throat doctor) is the best doctor to take care of this condition. </p>
<p>If you are a chronic mouth breather, in addition to what I described above, your jaw is probably more narrow than normal, with some degree of dental crowding. Chronic mouth breathers also tend not to sleep well at night due to various degrees of breathing difficulty. If you&#8217;ve tried all this and still can&#8217;t breath properly through your nose, seek help from an ear, nose and throat doctor.</p>

When you finally lie down to rest a night, your body needs comfort and support in order to recover from a long day at work. How much sleep are you getting, though?  You might be lying down for eight hours but are you resting?  </p>
<p>If you wake up tired, your lumpy mattress and saggy pillow aren&#8217;t giving you the support you need. What&#8217;s a weary worker to do? Get out of bed and get a new memory foam mattress. </p>
<p>Memory foam is a scientifically formulated foam product created by NASA that has been adopted by the mattress industry to create the world&#8217;s best bedding products.  Sleeping on a memory foam pillow and mattress will reduce the amount of pressure placed on your neck and back at night. Design a bedroom that invites sleep with subtle lighting, shades or darker window coverings, quality bedding such as sheets with a high thread count and a luxurious memory foam mattress.</p>
