Although it is not advisable to go on a crash diet, the weight loss process definitely accelerates itself if the diet is modified into a balanced healthy one. One of the ways to do this is to rotate the amount and type of carbohydrate you are consuming each day. </p>
<p>Our body senses a pattern in our daily routine and adjusts its functions accordingly. Although this is good in some cases, as far as the effectiveness of a diet is concerned, if the body gets &#8220;used&#8221; to a form of diet, weight loss rate in the beginning may be high but this generally tends to slow down considerably after some time. This is where carb cycling comes in, in order to aid weight loss. </p>
<p>All those diet plans that advise you to avoid carbohydrates as part of your daily meal are grossly misleading. Carbohydrates form an integral part of our nutrition and are needed by every body type to perform certain functions effectively. Depriving the body of it completely will only lead to what may be termed as withdrawal symptoms.</p>
<p>At first, the body rapidly start losing weight, but once it gets used to the low carbohydrate diet cycle, it will start slowing the metabolism down so that the body requires less energy to function. </p>
<p>A slow metabolism works in the opposite direction of a successful weight loss plan. In order to maintain a high rate of metabolism confuse your body by changing the level of carbohydrate that you consume daily. It is also helpful to change the type of carbohydrate in such a case. Therefore, if your body is used to two cups of white rice every day, make it one cup on every alternate day along with two slices of brown bread. Try to switch to whole grain (brown) carbs instead of the white ones. The former type is healthier due to their high fiber content. </p>
<p>Make sure you eat all your carbs for the day while the sun is up in the sky. Our metabolism lowers itself considerably after sundown. Therefore, any carbohydrate you consume after sunset will have a tendency to be transformed into stored fat.</p>
<p>Also make sure that you eat small amounts of food. Instead of having three or four heavy meals, change this into six or seven small meals. This keeps the metabolism working continuously, helping in losing weight very fast. </p>
<p>Therefore, starving your body means that you are convincing your metabolism that it needs to function on a lower level of energy. Rotating your carbs will prevent any such indication of specific pattern. This will make the metabolism work continuously in search for a pattern. Your job is to not let that happen.</p>
<p>It has been seen that people who follow this method of carbohydrate rotation lose weight faster and in higher amounts than those who simply avoid consuming carbohydrates.</p>

<p>I disagree.</p>
<p>In fact, I believe the holidays are one of the best times to start your adventure to optimal weight, health and wellness.</p>
<p>During this time of year we normally socialize and gather with friends and family. It&#8217;s a time for celebrating these relationships and especially the one with ourselves.</p>
<p>By starting on a healthy personal relationship and focusing on our health, all our other relationships will blossom and you will develop new ones as well.</p>
<p>Avoid the attitude that you have to deny yourself or that it will be difficult. It&#8217;s not in the spirit of joy, peace and love the holidays represent, and you&#8217;re setting yourself up for failure. A cheerful and positive attitude towards anything always gives you the edge and almost guarantees your success.</p>
<p>This is the season of giving and why not give yourself the gift of better health? (only you can do it)</p>
<p>Here are some ways to get started during this season of celebration:</p>
<p>- instead of attending a party, throw your own. Include healthy alternatives to the normal heavy and fattening dishes. Focus on fresh fruits and veggies and colorful green salads.</p>
<p>- when attending dinner parties, bring your own healthy dish. You can always eat your own dish if there are no healthy alternatives.</p>
<p>- if the topic of why you may not be eating something comes up, mention that this is what you feel like eating (the healthy alternative) and how grateful you are to be there to share the celebration of the holidays.</p>
<p>- take some time for yourself to celebrate your life. Take a long walk, hike, meditate or relax. Do what you enjoy by yourself and get away.</p>
<p>- focus on the social part of the events rather than the eating. Express your gratitude and appreciation to your hosts, friends and share positive conversations.</p>
<p>- eat a healthy meal or snacks (fruit, veggies, seeds, nuts, etc) before attending an event so you won&#8217;t be hungry. Gives you more time to visit and curbs your appetite.</p>
<p>And when you do get through the next few weeks making healthier eating choices just imagine how easy the rest of the year will be! Eating more fresh fruits, vegetables and greens will start curbing your cravings and eventually eliminate them helping you reach your goals faster and easier.</p>

Here are five small things you can do about it to make a possibly big impact on your feeling of wellbeing.</p>
<p>First, you may want to start a Master Cleanse to detoxify your body. The simple act of helping another can help us forget about our own problems and make us feel better in the process.  If you do not know where to start, you might try calling your local nursing home and asking what they need.  They may need someone to paint the nails of the residents, call Bingo, or help serve refreshments at a party, all of which could do wonders for your sense of self as well.</p>
<p>Finally, you might want to think about what you are doing in your free time.  Are you using it to your full advantage or wasting it on things that wear you down?  You might want to consider turning off the TV and reading a book.  Television can dull the mind, while reading often stimulates it.  You might want to try playing a crossword puzzle or game of Scrabble, taking a walk, cooking a gourmet meal, making a scrapbook, painting a picture, playing a round of tennis, or writing a letter to an out of town friend.  All of these activities may make you feel better and this can cause you to live more fully.</p>

While about 60 percent of American is obese, 40 percent of Vietnamese are underweight. Therefore, I think gaining weight also needs special care as much as losing weight does. So, in this article today, we are going to give you some tips to change you from a thin and skinny girl into a sexy and chubby girl.</p>
<p>First of all, you have to look at what you eat. Do you eat enough? Do you eat food which is rich and high in protein? If you think you eat enough, it must be your food is not rich enough in protein. </p>
<p>Now, make a list of food which you should include into your meals. Beef is very good because it contains much fats and protein. Its taste is also very good, and you can eat a lot without getting sick of it. Chicken is also a good source of protein. If you eat a 200gram chicken per day, it will provide you enough energy for you for the whole day full of activities. </p>
<p>Fish is another good kind of food to gain weight. Fish in rich in fat but it is free from cholesterol. Therefore you can eat a lot of fish. Sea fish is also better than fish from the fresh water because they are much cleaner. However, those are good kind of food. They are not good if you eat them too much. Try to combine them with veggies. Never turn your back to your healthy veggies though you want to gain weight. Some veggies provide a lot of proteins and Vitamins which are not included in meat or fish.</p>
<p>Secondly you should do exercise definitely. People might think that doing exercise may make you lose weight. This is not right. If you do exercise and eat a lot, you should be able to gain weight. </p>
<p>Some fat people do exercise, and they eat much more, and finally the end up being fatter. Why? Because when you do exercise, all the activities burn your calories, and it makes you hungry and eat better. That is why people who do exercise tend to eat more than ones who just sit. </p>
<p>So, never think that you are thin, and you do not need to do exercise. Exercise is for anyone and it does not matter if they are fat or thin. You can do no wrong spending one hour per week for exercise.</p>
<p>Eat more often than you often do. A normal person should eat three meals per day; you should eat more than that. You should have about 5 meals per day. If your work schedule allows, try to eat every three hours unless you are sleeping at night. </p>
<p>Eating small and in many meals help you digest better the food. Also, in one meal do not eat too much of protein. If you eat too much of protein, you body will not be able to digest them all, and even for some people the digestion system will try to get them out of your body. So, just eat enough so that you can make the most of the food you eat.</p>

<p>We need to get caloric intake from proteins, fats, and carbohydrates; if we get out of balance with these, we could jeopardize our health. But, there&#8217;s still the problem of losing weight&#8211;and yes, many people truly do need to lose weight. One great solution to this problem is to use carb cycling.</p>
<p>Carb cycling has been successfully used by athletes and physical fitness trainers. It involves discipline with eating, but you don&#8217;t starve, you eat tasty foods, you get plenty of nutrition, you have lots of energy, and&#8211;you lose unwanted weight and keep it off, and lose it faster than you will with the usual &#8220;diets&#8221;. </p>
<p>And, since you&#8217;ll be getting plenty of carbs with carb cycling, you&#8217;ll have plenty of mental energy: see, the brain is fueled by glucose, which comes from carbs; and the brain takes its energy before every other part of the body does. </p>
<p>The typical carb cycling regimen extends over a six-day period. It gets repeated over and over every week until you hit your target weight. It involves first eating just carbs that are very fibrous&#8211;foods like asparagus, squash, zucchini, peppers, and cucumbers&#8211;and then, after three days, switching off and loading up just on carbs that are rich in starch for the next three days&#8211;foods like red beans, corn, pasta, potatoes, tomatoes, and yams. </p>
<p>When you&#8217;re doing carb cycling, you do NOT eat NOTHING BUT carbs. Your daily meals&#8211;and there are five or six medium sized ones, not just three large ones&#8211;also almost always contain protein, and you also get plenty of water. What matters with carb cycling is the KIND of carbs you eat at certain times. </p>
<p>You see, for the first three days, you are deliberately depleting your body of nearly all of its carbs (you&#8217;re feeding on them, yes, but the fiber and the water flush out your body rather than being stored, so by the end of the three day cycle you&#8217;ve burned off more carbs than you&#8217;ve take in); then, just when you are at the brink of catabolism (your body beginning burn off muscle tissue for fuel), you start in on the three-day carbo-loading cycle. </p>
<p>By eating five or six times per day, you keep your body&#8217;s metabolism going, and it speeds up; this is the beginning of how you lose weight with carb cycling. </p>
<p>Carb cycling also requires that you be on an exercise regimen, and not a light one. During the three days when you&#8217;re eating the fibrous carbs only, you will be involved in aerobic exercising: you&#8217;ll be jogging, distance running, biking, playing racquetball, or something like that. </p>
<p>The three days after that, you can still do some of those workouts (if you choose), but you tone them down&#8211;you only jog or run two miles instead of six to 10, for instance. You should also include some anaerobic training in at least two of those starch-carb days. Anaerobic workouts only need to be done for about 12 minutes per day and they greatly strengthen the heart and lungs, which also enhances your metabolism. </p>
<p>Carb cycling will keep fit and strong even as you&#8217;re losing weight (one to three pounds) every week.</p>
