			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>You may have heard the term alopecia and the term hair loss to used interchangeably.  If you are new to hair loss, you may not be sure what that term alopecia meant.  Well it&#8217;s actually rather simple.  </p>
<p>Hairloss is the term that the common man or woman on the street will use to refer to any form of alopecia. Hairloss is the generic phrase used by people to refer to all types of hairloss &#8211; no matter what the cause might be. Alopecia is a specific medical term with far more varieties than you could ever imagine.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s take a look at some of the challenges that face people with hair loss or alopecia. The most common type of hairloss is male pattern baldness. This condition affects 85%+ of all males. The medical term for this is alopecia androgenetica or androgentic alopcia. These both mean the exact same thing. Androgen refers to the hormone &#8220;allergy&#8221; that causes male pattern baldness. Genetica refers to the fact that this type of hairloss is a genetically inherited condition. Again, male pattern baldness is a genetic condition.</p>
<p>There are other types of alopecia as well. The next most common type of alopecia is alopecia areata which is the loss of patches of hair on the scalp or on other parts of the body. This type of alopecia affects men, women and children of any age or background. The most difficult aspect of this hairloss is that it can appear without warning &#8211; even when you&#8217;re in perfect health.</p>
<p>There are several causes but the most common are stress, prolonged illness, viral infection and sometimes even extreme allergic reactions to some medications. The good news is that hairloss from alopecia areata is rarely permanent and regrowth of lost hair is possible in many patients. Two of the most popular treatments for alopecia areata are cortisone injections to the affected area or the use of a 5% minoxidil solution. Many people with this condition claim very positive results from the use of essential oil therapies.</p>
<p>In some cases, a very stressful event causes this type of alopecia.  Once you get past that stress related event, your hair will gradually start to return.</p>
<p>Next is alopecia totalis. This is the complete loss of all body hair &#8211; including scalp, face and body hair. In some cases your nail growth can also be effected. Again this type of alopecia can appear in healthy adults with little or no warning. It shares many of the same causes with alopecia areata but stress seems to be very common as a cause for alopecia totalis. </p>

The idea is that by irritating the area with specific chemicals that your immune system is forced to fight back and this can trigger hair growth. <p>There are many potential side effects to a surgical hair loss remedy. For this reason, those considering surgery to deal with their hair loss should carefully discuss the option with their doctors to give themselves the chance to weigh the benefits against the potential risks. </p>

<p>Walking for 30 minutes a day seven days a week is a great start. In fact, it&#8217;s much better than the five day, or even three day, routine that many gurus recommend. If you are going to engage in low impact exercise, then walking for the 30 minutes daily is a good routine that you can use. </p>
<p>There are lots of ways you can get in your walking as a part of your daily activity. Additional activity, outside that 30 minutes a day seven days a week, is easy. Start out running once or twice in a 30 minute walk, then up it to more often until you&#8217;re walking 4 minutes then running 1 minute. If you keep this up, in no time, you will be jogging the entire 30 minutes.</p>
<p>Walking to lose weight is healthy, no doubt. But it&#8217;s also a terrific way to get around the neighborhood, meet neighbors, and see things you probably miss while driving around everywhere you go. Once you become an expert at walking, don&#8217;t forget to slowly increase the intensity.  You will be in top shape in no time.</p>

Before you get ready for you binging, here are some tips to help you keep from getting that muffin top look when you are wearing your jeans.</p>
<p>Sit ups are great for getting in shape, and helping keep tone. If you want to lose belly fat as quickly as possible, then sit ups are the best option for you. Combined with a good aerobic program, the sit ups can help you to firm up your abdomen muscles. If you want to lose belly fat then you need to burn the calories. And the best way to lose weight in selected areas of your body is to work the muscles in those problem areas. Sit ups are the ideal exercise to burn away that stubborn belly fat.</p>
<p>Avoid fried foods. Fried foods are loaded with calories and fat and have little nutritional value. Fried foods are especially bad because they are completely surrounded by fat while they are being cooked, and a great deal of that fat ends up on and in the food. As your body absorbs these fried foods, some of it is stored in the form of fat. Fried foods once in a great while is okay, after all who doesn&#8217;t like their french fries?  </p>
<p>Avoid snacking. Snacking, particularly late at night, is a big contributing factor in the creation of belly fat. <p>Speed up your metabolism. Your metabolism determines how much of the food you eat is turned into fat. People with a fast metabolism will burn off most of the calories they consume and will gain little or no weight. People with a slow metabolism are much more prone to creating more and more belly fat. Another way to speed up your metabolism is to eat 5 small meals per day, and make sure those meals include high protien, complex carbohydrates, and low fat. </p>
<p>Make exercise part of your daily routine. If you are having a hard time committing to exercise, start small. Take the stairs in stead of the elevator. Park your car a little farther away from the mall.  Little things add up!</p>
