the dangers of medications and other medical practices.  In recent years hypnosis has been controversial for what appears to be because it is simply misunderstood.  Many people have a vision of someone dangling a watch back in forth to send the patient to another planet. This is not the case and is only one of the many myths that plague the practice.  </p>
<p>Hypnosis allows for a deep relaxation and becoming one with the inner soul and mind.  There are a number of benefits from hypnosis and is proven to help in healing and relaxation.  One of the myths is that hypnosis only allows the person to relax while in a &#8216;trance&#8217;.  </p>
<p>First, the reason that hypnosis works is because it allows for the person to resolve issues during the session that are currently causing distress in their lives.  Many therapists use hypnosis for memory therapy and to help the patient come to terms with feelings and disturbances.  </p>
<p>Another very common myth is that the hypnotist can put thoughts or feelings into the mind of their patient.  This could not be further from the truth. During hypnosis the patient is fully aware of their surroundings and actions.  </p>
<p>This myth comes from the fact that many individuals can be brainwashed, but this generally happens in the everyday world not during hypnosis.  Hypnosis can not make the person act or believe something that they are not already inclined to do so.  </p>

<p>Anxiety disorder affects millions of individuals every year. These distortions are based on the irrational fears of others viewing them or looking upon them in a negative light. <p>The scripting in their mind has become such that they hear things that are not even really there.  The same fear that a person has of an animal is the same fear that the panic or anxiety disorder individual suffers in a crowd of people. Though it is not a realistic fear it is still very real to them.  </p>

<p>        There are several ways to learn hypnosis that range from professional training to self-teaching.</p>
<p>	Many licensed schools teach hypnosis and hypnotherapy. Students are educated about the human mind and how the subconscious differs from our conscious mind.  </p>
<p>       Before a hypnotist can be successful, they must understand how the mind affects a persons perceptions and behavior.  The art of relaxation and the ability to tune out the worries and everyday problems are learned.  This may sound easy, but it takes education and years of practice to completely learn hypnosis. </p>
<p>	Some students begin to learn hypnosis out of curiosity.  They quickly discover that it is more involved than they thought. <p>3.	Relax your whole body. Begin at the top of your head and move to the tip of your toes relaxing each muscle group in turn. Allow your eyes to close naturally as you become more deeply relaxed.</p>
<p>4.	Begin breathing slowly and deeply allowing each breath to deepen your relaxation.</p>
<p>5.	Imagine a relaxing, peaceful place. Begin imagining a staircase with ten stairs, as you climb the stairs you come closer and closer to your peaceful place.</p>
<p>6.	Climb the stair slowly on the count of your breathing. When you arrive take a moment to vividly visualize the place in every detail. Become familiar with the smells, sounds and how beautiful the place truly is.</p>
<p>7.	Once you are completely relaxed and at peace, you will begin your positive self talk.  Repeat to yourself the positive thoughts that you are working on.  Be optimistic and positive as you implant your suggestions and use a tone that conveys belief in a good outcome.</p>
<p>8.	To end the hypnosis count up to five, open your eyes and take a deep breath.  Enjoy the relaxation and positive feeling of refreshment that you feel after hypnosis.</p>

The human mind is made up of two parts that are known as the conscious and unconscious mind. The conscious mind is what allows the individual to exist in society productively. The conscious mind is like the regulator while the unconscious mind is the primitive portion. </p>
<p>When something is not as you would like the unconscious mind may send signals to run, fight or some other unacceptable behavior. The conscious mind then intervenes and holds these primitive thoughts to keep your body productive and in line. The unconscious mind makes up the majority of the mind and stores all experiences and memories from the past. </p>
<p>When an individual wishes to change a part of their personality, thoughts or behaviors they must change the internal script. There are a number of scripts that are already stored within the brain, but can be changed with the use of hypnosis. Self hypnosis technique is a good way to change this scripting. It is simple and most anyone can hypnotize themselves. You can guide yourself into this deep area of thought through relaxation and focus. </p>
<p>By focusing your attention on something you can drift away to your unconscious mind. State what it is you want to change or work on as well as how you will feel when you come out of hypnosis. Of course you want to feel relaxed and rested, so tell yourself.  </p>

<p>Years ago doctors told individuals that cigarettes could be used to calm nerves, help lose weight and just generally help with anxiety.  They had no idea how harmful cigarettes actually were.  These people exposed not only themselves to the harms of smoke, but also their children. It has only been recently that the surgeon general has begun cracking down on cigarette manufacturers and doctors have started suggesting the cessation of smoking immediately. </p>
<p>Relatively few businesses allow smoking on their premise any longer, many night clubs have restricted smoking to only outdoors. With the world for smokers closing in and opinions changing it has put great pressure on those that smoke.</p>

<p>Unfortunately sometimes there are deep seated problems and conflicts within our mind that do not show on blood work or x-rays. When we struggle with an emotional problem typically we do not have a fever, sore throat or other physical conditions. This is the reason that so much falls through the cracks in the medical industry.
